--- unyielding opener

[ the last memory your character has after walking through the door of the Library of Asgard is the odd feeling of gravity leaving one's body. Like the very air in the Library itself had no sense of what was 'up' or 'down'.

The floor underfoot seems to be gone, and one's senses seem to be dulled. There's something wrong with what's around your character's peripherals, and to any with any strong magic sense, they'll be able to tell that there's so much magic around them that it's nearly impossible to pick anything apart. This entire place is laced through with magic--tied together with strings upon strings of webs.

Any who came in with friends or as a group will find themselves Stunningly Alone.

Vision is dark and any sort of self-transforming magic--especially that of a greater size--is completely disabled, but upon trying, flight is possible.

Choose to fly until solid ground is found or simply let oneself drift to the floor, everyone will experience the same things:

1. Unlike the other fights so far, your enemy isn't anywhere to be seen, there's noone to talk to or to give any heroic speeches to. They haven't even shown up to confront you, but rather, after speaking his first, cryptic lines to the air about sleeping, he doesn't say a word.

2. Vision had been dark as your character fell into what felt like the abyss, but upon touching the ground, they'll find themselves in what looks like the hallways of a dark, abandoned archive. The walls are lit with lanterns and crystals, and there's shelves upon shelves upon shelves...

The skittering sound of spiders can be heard in the cobweb-covered ceilings above, and the Orange Light coming from the lamps make your feet feel heavy. Walking is a chore, and the longer you find yourself exposed to the orange light, the harder it is to walk.

All who wander the labyrinth will eventually come upon a door. And the symbol on it... is strikingly familiar.

How will you proceed? Continue to wander the halls of the maze, or open the first door you've found? ]

{{ ooc: welcome to the 4pm Bookstacks. For this part of the unyielding fight, you will have to face the maze alone until certain conditions have been met. Use your character's skills, wit, and strength of mind to continue on to find a way to defeat the spider who constructs the web.

if you have not done so yet, please fill out this form in order to participate. It'll take more than brute force and magic powers to escape this place. }}
