Once again I have no idea why those imbeciles in charge want me to maintain these files, but here we are. At least no matter how many time I reincarnate, it's easy to understand my notes.

[Throughout the file are references to "previous incarnations" with citations as if it's a research paper. Some highlights include:]

Warned them not to trust Weissmann. We lost control of Carbide and other high value subjects. Carbide isn't as vital as others, beyond potential for power, but I hate losing my subjects.

Carbide retrieved. Possessed. This marks the fourth life cycle in our records wherein he has been possessed ("Castille, 1100", "Chernov, 1250", "Carras, 1468"). Perhaps this one will live past age 20. Doubtful.

Dickson reports that Carbide ("Cabbot") may be a possible Zealot candidate. I have my doubts.

The 1595-1640 version remains the one most amenable to the Order. Shame about the illness.

[The entire file seems to be similar, talking about Ash's potential and comparing him to his past lives and how loyal to the Order he tended to be. Eventually, the most recent observation reads:]

I have been informed that as of September 2023 Carbide ("Cabbot") is no longer a member of the Order. I am petitioning to be sent to Kaisou to discover how this is possible. With luck, I may have an entirely untapped source of experiments and data to peruse.
